About Vicki Blight

Vicki Blight arrived at One Golden Square in March 2010 and presents shows on many Absolute Radio, Absolute 80s, Absolute Radio 90s and 00s.

Since joining the team, Vicki has hosted exclusive live sessions including Bastille, Kodaline, Hurts, and Embrace. She has interviewed many of Absolute Radio's favourite artists, including Snow Patrol's Gary Lightbody, Alanis Morissette, Sheryl Crow and Skunk Anansie's Skin. One of her highlights includes an interview with Lenny Kravitz in his dressing room - although she had to wait for Gwyneth Paltrow to move out of the way before she could sit on his sofa for a chat! Lenny even gave Vicki a gift and invited her to 'film an expose' on his tour bus... she is still considering his offer!

She was part of the team which hosted BT London Live in Hyde Park for the 2012 Olympics and as well as hosting Hard Rock Calling she spent many a fun weekend across the summer of 2014 hosting the 'Let's Rock' music festivals for Absolute 80s. She introduced loads of acts on stage including Tony Hadley (who always smells amazing by the way!), Bananarama, Midge Ure, Nik Kershaw and Kim Wilde.

A long-time lover of real music, Vicki's first ever gig was an Absolute Radio favourite - James with the Stereophonics supporting, but she has always encouraged and championed new music and is currently part of an industry team that listen and guide new artists via the Unsigned Band Review website.

Vicki's also a very versatile and successful voiceover artist. She is the TV continuity voice for Sky Movies Disney and Channel 5's 5*.

In 2014, Vicki completed the 100km Ride The Night cycling event in London to raise awareness and money for Women V Cancer. She has written for the Huffington Post and the Mirror and appears regularly on London Live's topical 'Not The One Show'. Vicki rose through the ranks of student radio and helps to coach new talent as part of the Student Radio Association's annual Demo Factor. She became a Life Honorary Member of the Student Radio Association in 2012.

Vicki has a dog called Toblerone and she's got a degree in Biochemistry and Medical Molecular Biology.
